Board of Directors

The PIONEER board of directors of the Lagos State Lotteries Board was set up in August 2005 by the Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu led administration.
The Board consisted of Non- Executive Directors:

The directors under the Chairmanship of Otunba (Dr.) S.A. Oladunni governed the Lotteries Board effectively and efficiently until 2010 when their 5 year tenure was concluded.

 

 

Otunba (Dr.) Solomon Ayodele Oladunni

Is the Chairman of Lagos State Lotteries Board. He is a graduate of the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor degree in Economics. He also holds a Masters degree in Management and a Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa). He has occupied different management positions in various organizations. He was a former Executive Vice Chairman of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited. He is a former Director of National Bank of Nigeria Limited, Past President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (1998 – 2001). Otunba Solomon was the former treasurer Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA), former chairman of Petroleum and Natural Gas Employers Association and is also the founding member of the Adekunle Ajasin University.

He is a fellow of several professional bodies amongst which are the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Safety Professional and the Nigerian Institute of Management and Life member, Nigeria Institute of International Affairs.

Currently, he is the Chairman of Solton International Hotel and Intergrated Trust & Investment Limited, Director NeGST Global Intergrated Company Limited, Chairman - E Tourism, Director - Crossword Security Limited, Director - Card Technology Limited and Director of Omatek ventures.

He is a receiver of several awards for outstanding leadership from state(s) institutions and corporate bodies in the industry. He is patron to several student organizations and the Performing Musical Association of Nigeria (PMAN).

Mrs. Olateju Phillips

Is a Chartered Accountant with extensive private and public sector experience. She was formerly Managing Director of Maridot Ventures Limited-a consulting firm (1992-1997), Director of Alma Beach Estates, a subsidiary of RIMS Merchant Bank Limited and the Financial Accountant, UAC Nigeria Plc (Property Division).

She has also served as the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, (1999-2000) Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Government Relations (2000- 2003).

She was head of various committees within and outside Lagos State. Mrs. Olateju Phillips holds qualifications from Huddersfield and Aston Universities in England as well as Wednesbury College of Commerce and Management.

Mr. Dapo Durosinmi-Etti

obtained his LL.B (Hons) from the University of Lagos, Akoka and his Council of Legal Education Certificate from the Nigeria Law School in June 1973. He later enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He was a former State Counsel in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice (Directorate of Public Prosecution Division).

He is currently the Managing Partner of Dapo Durosinmi-Etti & Co, a firm of Legal Pratitioners.

He was a member of the Lagos State Board of Traditional Medicine (1984 and 1986) and was elected member of the Constituent Assembly Lagos North Central Federal Constituency (1988-1989). He has also served on several panels and committees set up by Lagos State Government between May 1999 to date.



Mr. Ayo Subair

Is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, International Federation of Insolvency Professional (INSOL) and the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN).

He has worked with Price Waterhouse, Lagos (now Pricewaterhousecoopers), an international accounting firm of Accountants and Management consultants before proceeding to the renowned firm of Hamzat Subair & Co. (HS & Co.) where he is the Managing Partner since 1989.

He has been involved in assignments within the private and public sectors covering industries which includes Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Publishing, Shipping, Banking, Leasing, Hotels, Medical and many other service companies. He also serves on the board of other notable companies. He is a graduate of Economics from the Metropolitan University of Manchester and holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Lagos.

Mr. Asue Ighodalo

Is the Managing Partner of Banwo & Ighodalo, a leading corporate and commercial law practice in Nigeria, which he founded in partnership in 1991.

His core practice areas are corporate finance, capital markets, M&As, banking & securities, foreign investments & divestments, energy & natural resources, privatization and project finance. He possesses diverse transaction and regulatory experience in these areas, and has over time, advised the Federal Government of Nigeria in connection with its economic liberalization and reform, privatization and infrastructure development programs.

Asue’s membership of professional bodies include Nigerian Bar Association; International Bar Association; Association of International Petroleum Negotiators; Nigerian Economic Summit Group, (Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit #10 Planning Committee), Chartered Institute of Taxation; Electric Power Sector Reform & Implementation Committee (Chairman, Legal/Regulatory Sub-Committee); and Anti-trust and Competition Committee. He has very been recently appointed to serve on the Policy and Monitoring Committee of the NCP.

He holds a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, LL.B from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan. He is cited in several leading international lawyers’ publications and directories. Asue is married and has a daughter. He enjoys playing golf, watching football, reading, travelling and participating in political discourse. He sits on the Board of several public and private companies.

Our Board
The Lagos State Lotteries Board was established by the Lagos State Lotteries Law 2004.

The Board is the rallying point for all stakeholders in the lottery industry- the Lagos State government, the lottery operators, the private sector, the playing public and the general public.
