The allocation of the Distribution Trust Fund (DTF) is conducted by the ‘Distribution Agency” which may be an individual or institution appointed by the Governor for the sole purpose of disbursing revenue generated from the Board’s regulatory activities.

The disbursement of the fund for stipulated objectives is conducted by the distribution agency in consultation with the Board.

The Board in consultation with the distribution agency determines the projects to be executed. At the lotteries Board, we liaise with the relevant ministries and departments responsible for infrastructure, education, environment and health prior to selection of good causes projects.

Determination of the projects is based on the available funds as well as the needs of the State at any given time.

Projects executed with the DTF are known as a ‘good causes projects.
