Lotteries Law
The Lagos State Lotteries Law was enacted in 2004 by the Lagos State House of Assembly to regulate the Lottery industry in the State. Prior to the enactment, the lottery industry was unregulated and was a part of the informal sector.
Due to changes in the Lottery industry and the peculiarity of the Nigerian environment, the Law was amended in 2008
The amendment provided a competitive platform for lottery operation instead of a State owned lottery.
