The amendment of the Lagos State Lotteries Law in 2008 modified the way lottery was played in Lagos State. The use of hand written coupons was been replaced with technology driven terminals that are directly linked to the Lottery operators and our central Severs. This provides us with real time information on the activities of the Lottery operators, its agents and sub agents.

This change also ensures transparency and accountability in the Lottery industry. The Board is also able to resolve disputes arising between lottery operators, agents, and/ or stakers.

Public On- Line Lottery as defined in the Lagos State Lotteries Law (as amended) 2008 includes any lottery or other game of chance which includes lotteries played on-line, digital, electronics, telephone and other technology-based lotteries that are open to members of the public and is not restricted to membership of any society, religious group, association or social group.

Public on-line lottery licence is for a duration of 5 years and renewable at expiration.

Revenue generated from public on-line lottery is applied to good causes projects in the following sectors- Educational, Infrastructural, Environmental, Social & Health- as stipulated by the Lotteries Law.
